Supported marketplaces

Each marketplace is an isolated adapter behind one contract. Capabilities shown here are exactly what the adapter supports — nothing is implied. Machine-readable: /api/v1/marketplaces.

Freelancer.com LIVE

Freelancer REST API 0.1 (official) · discovery POLLING · latency class POLLING (every 120s while at least one paid executor needs it)

  • monitoring: yes
  • notifications: yes
  • manual bid: yes
  • auto bid: yes
  • withdraw bid: yes
  • bid status: yes
  • award status: yes
  • Authentication: OAUTH_TOKEN (the executor’s own credential; never shared between executors)
  • Fees (charged by the marketplace, not us): Bidding is free (membership bid quotas apply; free members start with 6 bids/month). Project fee on award: fixed-price 10% or USD 5.00, whichever is greater; hourly 10%. A USD 20 minimum account balance is required before bidding. The USD 5 minimum is never converted: non-USD fixed-price projects fail closed for auto-bid.
  • Rate limits: Public API observed: 200 requests/60 s and 1000/3600 s per client. We poll once per 120 s while ≥1 paid executor needs the source, and submit ≤2 bids/minute.
  • Auction mechanics: Open bidding for `bidperiod` days after posting; customer chooses any bid (not lowest-wins). Sealed projects hide bids. Only bid count and average are public; competitor amounts are never inferred.
  • Requirement: Executor-owned Freelancer account with an OAuth access token (scopes allowing bids)
  • Requirement: Freelancer membership bid quota and USD 20 minimum balance
  • Requirement: Executor is responsible for complying with Freelancer terms and its project-specific rules
  • Limitation: Polling (120 s), not real-time
  • Limitation: Many customers ask for a personalised proposal; a templated bid_message may perform poorly
  • Limitation: Bid submission and award status are implemented against the official API but have not been exercised with a real account (no executor account available to the operator)
  • Verification — discovery: verified live 2026-09-30 (public endpoint, recorded fixture); bidding: implemented per official SDK; not live-verified (requires an executor-owned account); last verified 2026-09-30

Not supported

Marketplaces without a legitimate machine interface for third-party participation are not integrated: we never bypass authentication, CAPTCHAs, anti-bot measures or marketplace terms. Marketplaces can integrate by implementing the open auction-feed/1 contract.
